How did you come up with the prices?

The price is made up of the following costs: approx. 30% production costs (ingredients, bottles, storage of ingredients, rental costs for the commercial kitchen, transport costs), approx. 30% investment costs (paying off the equipment, running the online shop), approx. 5% administrative costs (business registration, packaging license, laboratory testing), and approx. 35% profit margin for remuneration of our working hours and further investments.

Do you grow the chili peppers yourself?

Partly, partly: I grow my own chilies, currently still on a small scale (a few kilograms). That's why I currently buy most of my chilies. For 2026, we have a big farming operation planned and will hopefully only grow the chili peppers ourselves. In Germany.

Where do you produce the sauces? In your kitchen?

No, the sauces are produced in the licensed and certified gastronomical kitchen of Gasthof Bääkers Buur gekocht in Egestorf.
